Born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Dr. Woo pursued his undergraduate degree at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. He completed his medical degree and a residency in orthopaedic surgery from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. While there, Dr. Woo received the Hip Society’s prestigious Frank Stinchfield Award. He went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at Scottish Rite Children’s Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Woo has served in a multitude of leadership positions, including associate and clinical assistant professor of orthopaedics and rehabilitation at the University of Florida. He has also served as a member of the Graduate School Faculty at the University of Florida since 2001.  Dr. Woo is a recipient of the University of Florida College of Medicine Exemplary Teacher Award and has been named in The Best Doctors in America and Strathmore's Who's Who. He has published an exhaustive amount of articles regarding orthopaedic procedures and advances in treatments, as well as several copyrighted and patented procedure methods.
